Working Writer has been a bit of a placeholder while I figure out what I want to do in this space, and what I can do.
That second part is the more important bit.
I knew from the start the world didn’t need another writer writing to writers. But what I wanted to do seemed more difficult and time-consuming than I was prepared for. And what I wanted to do wasn’t exactly concrete in my mind. It lacked focus. So, I used the working writer angle to at least bring something different to the writer to writer conversation.
But I have finally figured out both exactly what I want to do here and what I can do. What I have the mind-space and creative energy for. I’ll keep this and other posts here for a week or two while I build what comes next.
What will that be? Well, let’s just say it won’t be focused on my writing and it won’t be directed only at other writers but to readers. It will shine a light on lesser-known and forgotten works of literature that laid the groundwork for popular works today.
